Bharatiyadudu 2 Movie Review: A Mixed Bag with Emotional and Thrilling Moments
In “Bharatiyadudu 2,” a team consisting of Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and others exposes societal injustices, corruption, and bribery by recording and publicizing them. They target corrupt officials and businessmen, catching them red-handed. As a result, they find themselves in trouble with the authorities. Police and officials are turned against them. Amidst this turmoil, an Indian figure emerges, sparking the hashtag “Indian should come again.” This Indian from Taipei returns to India, and the storyline follows Bharat’s mission to eliminate illegals, while CBI officials chase him to make an arrest.
Key Questions:
1. Who does the returning Indian kill, and why does Champuthu punish them?
2. What bad experiences do social media influencers Siddu and Priya face?
3. Why does Rakul’s friend help the social media team?
4. What is Rakul’s connection to Siddu’s team?
5. Why can’t Siddhu shave his head after his mother’s death?
6. Does the Indian meet the social media influencers, and under what circumstances?
7. Is CBI officer Bobby Simha successful in arresting the Indian?
8. What final decision does the Indian make?
For fans of the original “Indian” movie, “Bharatiyadudu 2” may not fully meet high expectations. The first part of the film struggles to emotionally connect with the audience, though it gains some momentum in the second half with gripping episodes. Director Shankar’s storytelling shines in parts, but the first half feels like it’s just moving along without much excitement.
The film touches on real-life figures like Vijay Mallya and Gali Janardhan Reddy, creating a connection in the first half. The second half introduces various twists, adding some interest and excitement to the story. Characters like Siddharth and Rakul have intriguing twists, but the climax’s chase scene feels unnecessarily long and can be a bit boring. However, the hint at an “Indian 3” piques interest.
Performances:
- Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Bobby Simha deliver decent performances, but their characters lack emotional depth.
- The second half features an emotional episode between Siddharth and his mother.
- Kamal Haasan, though a veteran actor, is heavily made-up, which diminishes the connection with his character.
Overall, “Bharatiyadudu 2” has a simple and routine first half, lacking twists and exciting scenes. The second half’s gripping moments help offset the initial disappointment. While it may not recreate the magic of the original “Indian” movie, it offers some emotional and thrilling moments. Rakul Preet’s role is unimpressive, but Siddharth excels in emotional scenes. Samuthirakani leaves a mark in the second half. Kamal Haasan’s performance and Shankar’s technical brilliance can be appreciated in the theater.
In summary, “Bharatiyadudu 2” is a mixed bag with emotional highs and thrilling twists, but it may not fully satisfy fans of the original film.
